Tsumugi 180 by Ginza Steel - Handcrafted Nakiri 165mm Knife - Made in Seki City of Japan
Literally means “vegetable knife” in its original Japanese name, it is specifically for cutting vegetables. It is suitable for chopping and dicing ingredients because there is no tip and the blade is straight. Historically, it has been used on a daily basis by the general population as it was designated as the easy-to-use knife for everyone. The blade has no curvature and the straight blade is easy to sharpen and handle. Unless the person is familiar, it is often hard to cleanly sharpen a knife with curves; however, there is no worry with this type of vegetable knife.

Instructions and Maintenance:
- Please do not use it to cut bone or frozen foods
- This is an extremely sharp knife. Please use special care when using and storing it. Please keep out of children's reach.
- Please do not use the knife for purposes other than cooking
- After use, please hand wash the knife then wipe it clean and dry with soft clean clothes
- To maintain fine cutting performance we recommend re-sharping the knife once or twice per month

I wanted a utility knife of some kind to compliment my Miyabi without breaking the bank. Found this to be a great option. Nice blade, great design, and the handle is very nice and comfortable. Definitely recommend.

I liked the looks of the Okuma knife , it has nice blue handle with 3 rivets , very well made from Ginza Japanese steel and very sharp blade can cut paper because it's so sharp .

I have a few Japanese knives of high carbon steel that are my favourites, but the claim of VG10 steel on this blade at this price made it irresistible. The blade came sharp, but I typically sharpen to a higher level. Although I haven't refined the edge yet, I look forward to seeing the results on this blade, as I really like it on some of my pocket knives.

This meat fork (Fleishe Gabel in German) looks awesome and very well-made, just like my oversized Guede Alpha Brot Messer was. I've received several compliments about it already this year, including a "WOW, that's really cool!" from the Made-In store manager in Austin.
