Laguiole France

Laguiole knives trace their roots to the Aubrac plateau in southern France, where blacksmith Pierre-Jean Calmels created the first folding Laguiole in 1829 for local shepherds and farmers.

Laguiole knives with the signature bee emblem

A shepherd's awl followed in 1840 and the corkscrew around 1880, while the bee resting on the spring became the signature of the design. Today the village of Laguiole and the historic cutlery town of Thiers carry this craft forward.

Explore our Laguiole knives, from steak and table knives to serving pieces, pairing French heritage with refined everyday use.
