KING 1000/6000 Double Sided Ceramic Whetstone

• Soak the Whetstone:

If your whetstone requires soaking, immerse it in water for about 5 to 10 minutes. Check the manufacturer’s instructions for specific soaking times.

Place the whetstone on a stable surface with a cloth or towel underneath.

• Position the Knife:

Hold the knife with the handle in your dominant hand.

Place the heel of the knife on the far edge of the whetstone, holding the blade at a 15 to 20-degree angle (use an angle guide if needed).

• Sharpening Process:

Slide the knife away from you along the stone, from the tip to the base of the blade.

Repeat this motion 12 to 15 times on each side of the knife using the 1000 grit side.

Flip the stone over to the 6000 grit side and repeat the process with 10 to 12 passes on each side.

• Test Sharpness:

Test the sharpness by slicing a piece of paper. Adjust if needed.

Remember to maintain consistent pressure and angle throughout.
